Traditional Home Energy Upgrade Pilot
The primary goal of this pilot is to comprehensively explore the technical intricacies, suitable materials, and associated costs involved in modernizing traditional homes. By providing tailored solutions, we aim to equip homeowners with a range of upgrade options, including:
- Roof insulation
- Wall insulation
- Floor insulation
- High-performance windows and doors
- Advanced ventilation systems
- Renewable heating solutions (heat pumps)
- Solar thermal systems
- Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
To be eligible for grant support, homeowners must undertake a holistic home energy upgrade, aiming to achieve a minimum Building Energy Rating (BER) of B2 post-upgrade.
What This Means for Homeowners
This pilot program offers homeowners of traditional Irish homes the opportunity to access government grants through the One-Stop Shop (OSS) service. By participating, you can receive support to upgrade your home’s energy efficiency using products specifically designed for traditional buildings.
We are currently seeking 100 homeowners with traditionally constructed homes to join this pilot program.
